Is there some reason why I took so long to film another episode in this series? (Actually, I can think of two or three reasons, BUT NOW IT'S DONE!) As per usual, we've got three products I've been using lately and a table of contents if you want to skip around. Also, a new set-up that's more comfortable for me. Hurrah!

The Besame shade range is definitely the reason I haven't tried one of their lipsticks yet. At this point, I have a decent version of pretty much every shade of red I'd want to wear, so Besame isn't offering me anything really new (except that gorgeous packaging, of course). That said, I do wish I'd bought a Besame pinkish red (maybe 1935 Cherry Red?) instead of Urban Decay 69, because the flat-topped Revolution bullet makes bold shades almost impossible to apply.
Also I just looked up swatches of Noir Red, because you were speaking my language with "almost-black red," and UGH SO BEAUTIFUL. I think I may have to buy it for this fall...
I found the formula of Noir Red to be...not so nice. It wasn't TERRIBLE, but it was dryer and more drying than the rest of the range. If you want a pink red, I think there's one called American Beauty that has pinky undertones.
I've actually never watched one of your videos with the sound on since I have a habit of browsing videos when someone else is in the room, watching other stuff, but I got to work like 2 hours early and this was awesome! I get what you mean in re: the shade selection of the Glossier Paint but I have a friend who is halfway between the 2 deeper models' skintones on the Glossier site and Haze is SCREAMING her name to me :) She has very dry and damaged skin (which is basically our project we work on when we hang out) and we've been trying to find some good cream blushes for her. Luckily she likes that vibrant raspberry type shade, but Glossier would do well to get a more vibrant non-pastel coral/peach shade in the lineup definitely. I'll check out the Becca Beach Tints with her too- the shade range seems more suitable, since as you said they have some saturated options.

ReplyDeleteI agree; I want a darker coral or a bright orange red added to the range!
