VIDEO: First Impressions - Catrice, YSL, Dior, Ciate

(NOTE: To watch in full screen, start the video, then click the "YouTube" icon.)

Being on a no buy can be tricky, even for a month, so I decided to grab a bunch of products out of my "to try" box and give them a go on camera. In this video, I'm giving you my first impressions of the Catrice Long Lasting Brow Definer, Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat, Dior DiorShow Mascara, and Ciate Lip Velvet.

  1. I love love love the YSL Touche Eclat. I use it as an under-eye concealer. It reduces my dark circles to a light shadow that just looks natural and healthy. For me, it's the perfect medium between 'I'm a vampire' and that white blocked-out undereye look. I ended up buying 3 of that Sephora Favorites box and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made, considering how much I like almost all the things in it. I'll have to try the Maybelline version when I run out.

It'd be fun to see more videos from you like this!

    1. I'm glad it wasn't terrible! :D I usually don't have this much semi-interesting stuff to test out at once, but I did enjoy doing it.

  2. Great video. I'm really interested in that brow pen. Please let us know how you like the lighter color! I'm essentially your color twin but with strawberry blonde hair. Siberia, Chantilly, lighter taupe-y brow colors. Despite the strawberry part I look best in cooler colors.

I gotta say, your blog has turned me on to some great products like the dream lumi pen! I just picked another up today since I cracked my last one when I accidentally sat on it... In addition to the dream lumi, I just purchased mac strobe cream. What color do you use? I liked the yellow/golden one but ended up getting the pink-ish one that came in a travel size. I have such a hard time with highlighters in general (I'm pants at applying them) I couldn't justify spending $$ on a full size.

    1. Oooh, right, they have colors now. I think the original Strobe Cream is called "Pink Light" now.
