Elizabeth Arden AND Vincent Longo GIVEAWAY!

I think we all know that I'm not the biggest lipgloss fan. I got rid of a good 90% of my glosses, I rarely wear the ones I've kept, and I only clung to the ones I kept because I felt like they would go well with certain lipsticks. While I do feel that, say, a nude lipstick is far more attractive on my skintone if I can soften it with a pinky gloss, I'm otherwise rarely compelled to put the goopy, sloppy stuff on. But oh, that has changed a little! And I'm actually considering purging even more of my glosses because this little baby is so multi-purpose.

The Elizabeth Arden Crystal Clear Lip Gloss. Oh, but this stuff is lovely! Sticky enough to stay in place for several hours, but not at all rubbery or thick. Shiny and glossy without looking like oil or plastic on my lips. I've dabbed it over a dozen different lipstick formulas, and it never seems to "break down" or smear the lipstick. And as an added bonus, it performs a strange optical illusion that sort of "smooths out" the fine lines in my lips, so it almost looks like my natural pigmentation is some kind of particularly lovely lipgloss. In a nutshell: I LOVE it!

This product first came to my attention via Sex and the City, when I started doing beauty sightings for the series. I immediately assumed that the lipgloss Carrie toted around for 6 seasons was the MAC clear gloss, but Makeup411.com and interviews with Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that it is actually one of SJP's personal favorite products: the Elizabeth Arden Crystal Clear Lip Gloss. I did a Google search and found next to nothing on this product...or any other Elizabeth Arden product besides the infamous 8 Hour Cream (which we all know I love). I realized that I've used one of the Color Intrigue lipsticks, Poppy Cream, for almost a year now, and while I love it, I rarely mention it. Why? I dunno, I guess I figured nobody would care about Elizabeth Arden makeup. Finally, I began watching Charlotte Tilbury's YouTube tutorials, and I noticed several Elizabeth Arden makeup products popping up in her videos. With that in mind, I decided to give more Elizabeth Arden cosmetics a try. This gloss is definitely a stand-out.

So I'm doing a giveaway! I'm going to giveaway a brand new tube of the Crystal Clear Lip Gloss. The out-of-the-box tube you see here is actually my own personal tube, which is the smaller GWP size; your tube will be almost twice as big and, of course, brand spankin' new. :)

I'm also throwing in two brand new Prevage skin care samples, which came with my most recent Elizabeth Arden order. There's nothing wrong with them--I've actually heard great things about the sunscreen--but my skin is somewhat sensitive, so I tend to stick with a strict skincare routine that doesn't leave much room for new products.

And because I've been diggin' the Vincent Longo Water Canvas blushes, I decided to add two to this prize: Morning Tender and Aqua Crimson! Again, the products photographed are from my personal collection; yours will be brand new and still in their boxes.

If you want to enter for a chance to win these products, just comment on this entry and tell me about your all-time favorite lip product. It can be a lipstick, a gloss, a pencil, a balm, a stain...anything you use on your lips and love! We all know I'm always on the lookout for new lippies to try. ;)

  1. I am not eligible to enter, since I am located in Greece, but I just wanted to share that I generally dislike lipgloss, to put it mildly.

I don't quite know why, but through my teenage/early uni years I accumulated many of Lancome's Juicy Tubes, while barely using any, so, again, I honestly have no idea why I kept buying them. I got rid of them and now, at my 27, I am left with one gloss in my makeup bag that I hardly ever use and I no longer pay attention to lipgloss at counters, I never try them or play with them so I have no idea what is out, if the textures have changed etc.

However, I recently placed an order with Laura Mercier and they included a full size lipgloss GWP (shade Bronze). Well, I had no idea lipgloss could be so lovely! Smells quite nice, is not gloopy, does not bleed around the lips, adheres to the lips very well while is not sticky, rather emollient I would say.

I am not saying that my dislike for lipgloss is revised, but it really was a nice surprise to come across a good one :)

    1. I really, really wish I could have international contests, but customs has been wonky lately, and the shipping fees are INSANE. :(

I used to own a ton of MAC lipglosses because I loved the colors, but UGH, the TEXTURE!!! It was awful, so thick and sticky! The only one I've loved is Viva Glam Gaga I, and it's the only one I still own.

  4. My favorite lip products has to be Maybelline's Color Sensational lipstick in Bit of Berry. It's MLBB and I love the versatility of sheering it out or wearing it full on! :) and, at around $5 a tube, what do you have to lose, right?

  5. Oh gosh...I think my all-time favorite lip product is Benefit's Ultra Plush gloss! I have tried Sugarbomb and Coralista, and both are amazing. They have the perfect consistency for my liking, and the amount of color is just perfect for most occasions!

  6. I love Revlon just kissable balm stains. I never liked lip gloss that much, specially since somebody told me that it looked like bacon grease over the mouth. That is quite silly but I picture it in my head every time I see lip gloss.
Anyway, I love orange and red lipsticks as much as my pocket can afford it. I want to try some of the YSL lipsticks.
I adore the idea of lip stains, that's why I bought Benetint from benefit. But unfortunately it dries my lips.

  7. My favorite lip product is Maybelline ColorSensational in Pink Please. I have 6 back-ups of it and one tube I currently use. x_x
I also recently found that I love Wet n' Wild's Sugar Plum Fairy because of the color but its texture leaves my lips so unpleasantly dry and shows lip lines so I got a moisturizing dupe by the brand Studio Make Up's lipstick in Vibrant Wine.

  9. I LOVE the look and feel of YSL Glossy Stains. I'm not the kind of person who likes to bother with constantly reapplying gloss, especially at work. These solve that problem for me.

  10. Thanks for the giveaway! My favorite lippie would have to be Fresh Sugar Rose. Beautiful color that brightens up my whole face and also moisturizes. Doesn't get a whole lot better than that for me...most lipsticks are so drying!

  11. I admit I'm a compulsive gloss or balm applier. One of my favorite glosses is the Bonne Bell lipLITES in cappuccino. It isn't sticky and it goes over just about anything making it a little lighter. Smells yummy and reminds me of being a kid. and it's $3 I think - not sure because they last forever and I haven't had to buy another in over a year.

I've been curious about the Elizabeth Arden gloss since I saw your makeup spotting post. Cool giveaway! Thanks, Renee!

  12. Hey, thanks for the giveaway!

If I had to pick a favorite lipstick it would be UD Naked. It's the perfect MLBB on me, and the texture is amazing. Super creamy and luxe. I love UD's lipsticks and I don't think they get enough love. ;)

I also recently discovered Tokidoki's balm stains which are amazing, but also all gone. Boo!

  13. Hi! Thanks for the giveaway. I've been loving lipstains lately and have been trying all sorts of brands from Hourglass, Stila and Beaute. I am a lip balm adddict though! I've tried them all!! Or at least it feels like it. My favorite one high end one is Clinique Repairwear or Fresh Sugar Advance Treatment. But right now I've been using Blistex Simple and Sensitive. It only has six ingredients and it perfect for me. My lips are always dry, cracked and peeling and lipstick makes it worse. Seriously, the Blistex one is worth a try if you're sensitive as it's only $1 or so at Wal-Mart, Dollar Store, ect.
