MAC Party Parrot FOTD and Comparisons

I still can't get over the fact that somebody was nice enough to purchase one of these bad boys for me. Ever since I missed out on the fabulous Iris Apfel collection, I've lusted for this lipstick in ways that are probably a bit stupid and immature. BUT NOW I HAVE IT!!!

Unfortunately, taking comparison photos was nigh on impossible. Just about everything photographed as a red-coral color, even if it was far more pink in real life. MAC Force of Love is the most blatant culprit: it looks red in swatch photos, but it's actually a bright neon pink with coral tones along the lines of Viva Glam Nicki. The only lipstick that swatched super-true-to-life was Candy Yum-Yum, which...let's be honest, it's too neon to photograph as anything BUT its true color.

BASE: MAC Face & Body in N1 + White, Clinique Airbrush concealer in 01 Fair

EYES: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Maybelline The Falsies mascara, La Femme brow pencil in Taupe, Anastasia Clear Brow Gel, Makeup Forever Uplight #22

CHEEKS: Sleek blush in Scandalous, Makeup Forever Uplight #22

LIPS: MAC Party Parrot

Look at that no-flash picture. LOOK AT IT!!! How did everything turn the same color as Strawberry Suede?! It doesn't make sense.

But I assure you, Party Parrot and Impassioned are really, really different, or only kinda-different if you aren't as in to bright lipstick as I am. Impassioned is a bright pink with mere hints of coral, very much a "tropical punch" color. Party Parrot is much more neon and in-your-face, a red-pink-coral mix. Let's put it this way: Party Parrot is brighter, warmer, and probably more striking, but it's also more likely to make your teeth look yellow.

And now a bonus kitty picture (which also serves as a reminder to myself that I need to do a shoe unboxing video).
