VIDEO: My Current Favorite Fragrances

Confession: up until last week, I was using a paper plate as a vanity tray. I wanted to be able to grab a fragrance on my way out the door, but I was having an awful time finding a tray I liked, sooooo I improvised. I'm grateful that so many smart people reminded me that Etsy exists, because now I own a beautiful vanity tray that fits perfectly on my card catalogue. No more paper plates!

  1. I really like Vanille Insensee for summer. I love vanilla and it's very light. My other summer fave is from Hermes, Osmanthus Yunnan. Someone described it in a magazine as "Hermoine Granger in a perfume" it's got the peachy-mimosa quality of osmanthus, tea, fresh mown hay, dry hay, books, and a hint of powder. It's both fresh, woody, and gourmand while keeping it light. Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt is perfect for times I don't want to smell like perfume. If you like Lady Vengeance you might like Eua d'Italie Paestum Rose!

    1. I just got Vanille Insensee, actually! I'm not as blown away by it as everybody else seems to be--it smells a bit like medical bandages on me for a solid 30 minutes--but it's nice, and I could see how it could work for summer. Osmanthus Yunnan sounds right up my alley!
