VIDEO: Best of 2016

(NOTE: To watch full-screen, start playing, then click the YouTube button at the bottom right.)

I attempted to post this video almost 2 weeks ago, but YouTube flagged it, most likely for containing blog links in the description. After appealing and waiting for a few days, YouTube removed the strike from my account and re-approved the video. So here we are! These are the products that impressed me the most in 2016.

  1. Have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer? I think it's fantastic, but I know it's supposed to be a dupe for the Nars concealer and I always wonder if it is *even better!* However, every time I've thought of buying it I decide to go for a lipstick instead because that's so much more exciting for me.

    1. Yes, and I don't agree that Fit Me is a dupe. It has less coverage and a slightly different finish. I also wasn't able to find a shade match, unfortunately.

    2. Fit Me is not a dupe....the lightest shade in Fit Me is 15 and it is much darker than the lightest shade Chantilly in NARS (10 Fit Me is darker than 15). Have you found any lipstick in a bullet form (matte) that has great wear time? Thx!

    3. Several. Besame and NARS Audacious are probably the most recent. Check the "product: lipstick" tag.

  2. Even though I'm pretty dry, SR Tidal, UFO, and TF lipstick. All so expensive but pretty worth it. TF Vert D'Ecense is also on that list!

    1. I want to try Sunday Riley's stuff so badly, but her ingredients lists give me the heebies!

  3. Good Genes is my crack!

Another fave is a serum concealer in a pump that I bought in Munich-- a drugstore brand called L.O.V. It is the best match I've ever found, and the coverage is amazing, even though it has a very light, liquid texture. I'm looking for an American dupe so I don't have to go back to Germany when I run out! 😜
