VIDEO: Spring 2016 Empties

Here's the stuff that left my collection when summer rolled around!

  1. Hi Renee! Loved your anti-haul post! Just wanted to let you know that the Clinique Lash Power mascara is a "tubing" formula mascara (like Kiss Me, Trish McEvoy Lash Curling, Kevyn Aucoin to name a few) and comes off only with warm/hot water. It will not come off with oil-based cleansers, as you learned. I have terrible problems with mascara smearage so tubing formulas are the only kind I wear. I'm sorry you had such a negative experience with the Clinique. It's an okay version of a tubing mascara, but again, will not come off with regular eye-makeup removers. Speaking of mascaras - do you know about Nordstrom's twice a year "mascara madness" event? Buy 2, get one free on any mascaras they sell - it's sometime later this month around memorial day. It's a great way to try high-end brands at effectively a 33% discount. (I'm not affiliated with them in any way! - just like to share...) Happy Weekend!

    1. I should have mentioned this in the video: I did actually try it with warm water, and it still came off in painful, sharp chunks. Other tubing mascaras I've tried came off in soft little bits/fibers--what's up with this one?

Yes, mascara madness is a big deal on a lot of the boards! I have a ton of mascara samples I'm trying out right now, so I don't think I'll participate, but I look forward to reading upcoming reviews. :)

  2. I haven't tried that mascara from Clinique but it sounds terrible. I really like their high impact formula on my lashes but it tends to smear :(

    1. I like High Impact, but I like Maybelline Full n' Soft more--I think it gives a similar effect without the smearing.

  3. Great video. I normally find empties videos pretty boring but you give such nice little reviews of each product! Well done.

    1. I'm still trying to figure out the new video editing software, so hopefully I'll have that fixed for the next one.
