  1. So, I almost never finish YouTube beauty videos because so many vloggers have zero public-speaking ability, but I watched this entire thing. I can tell that you spend a lot of time teaching--your voice is really pleasant to listen to! I'm intrigued by that Paula's Choice exfoliant, but chemical exfoliants kind of scare me. Also, what lipstick were you wearing in this video?

    1. Oh, that's lovely--thank you!

I used to be terrified of chemical exfoliants, too, but now that I'm using them, I don't think I can ever go back to physical ones. AHA is just so much more gentle and effective! If it helps, I got a few sample packets of this and patch tested it for over a month first before putting it all over my face. I'm a firm believer in patch testing.

And it was MAC Faux! Everything looks a bit too brown in this video, I think, but Faux is close to what you see here.

  3. Such a great video. I'm pretty new to your channel/ blog and I really enjoy your style. I love your product recommendations and it's so refreshing to get them from someone with a brain! Thank you!

  4. Oh, and that perfume sounds lovely. I've been wearing my Caudelie Parfum Divin pretty steadily but I love niche brands and "interesting " vanillas especially. Also I think you've convinced me to get that Hourglass powder. I have it in 'Dim Light' but I'm also very fair skinned so it's too dark for me to use as anything other than a bronzer! Pale girl problems. Love the blurring finish of those powders. Sorry don't mean to write a novel here! I could talk about beauty products all day! Thanks again for adding a voice of sanity to this community!

    1. Have you sniffed Guerlain's Shalimar Ode a la Vanille line? There are some truly beautiful and unique vanillas in that range! Andy Tauer's Tauerville line has a great vanilla as well; it reminds me of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille.

I would definitely test some of that Ethereal Light powder on your wrist and see if you like the finish. I really wish HG would make a full range of powders with that finish so people of various skin tones can test it out as a softening powder!
