ReplyDeleteI think your commentary on people generally not noticing a shade mismatch between the face and the neck/chest is so true. I first noticed this a few years ago in K-dramas where characters were walking around with a pale, pink face and a darker, yellower chest. I then took these newly honed ninja color skills and started applying them to real life. And promply purged, er, 90% of my foundations. What has been seen cannot be unseen!
I have the same issues with ladies at the counter forcing the "lightest" and often pink undertoned foundations on me. I'm more on the neutral-yellow side of the spectrum (KA SSE SX-01 is my closest match so far), and I have no desire to match my face to my beach ball pink cheeks... Thank goodness for extensive swatches on the internet for us makeup nerds to pour over. :D
Ehhhh, Sx01 is a pretty good match for me, too! Definitely not pink, though. I wish they trained SAs a bit better. :/

DeleteI don't really have a dedicated YouTube channel anymore--I keep most of the videos unlisted and link them through the blog--but I DO use YouTube to host the vids. If you click the "videos" tag, you'll find more of the stuff I've done in video format.
