This is what my naked face looks like when photographed in close-up (or "macro") mode. I took these pictures in various lighting settings over the course of a week, anxious to catch a glimpse of what the naked eye missed, curious about how my forehead bumps and undereye circles would look like in mega-HD. It's a slightly uncomfortable exercise, looking at your own face with this much detail, but it definitely reminded me that skincare is of the utmost importance.
