I've been diligent with sunscreen for a couple of years but even the best western formulas I've tried don't match up to Asian sunscreens. My current gave is Secret Key Snail Repairing Sun Cream (moisturising, no white cast, cheap!)Kichihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14540927415616028496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836843585087892027.post-57588896450725079982016-05-05T15:11:14.787-05:002016-05-05T15:11:14.787-05:00Love their sample packet system, so nice to be abl...Love their sample packet system, so nice to be able to pick a sample of anything for a small fee. My last purchase was the Moisture Boost cleanser after trying out all their dry skin face cleansing samples, nice to get the cheaper option and it amazingly doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. Like, throw some sample packets in to my next order or something. I was interested in the Vanicream, so thanks for the info.Miss Reneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08220111649046519267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836843585087892027.post-38438380614006864672016-05-05T08:54:51.988-05:002016-05-05T08:54:51.988-05:00When my skin is on the drier side (when pregnant o...When my skin is on the drier side (when pregnant or dead of winter in Minnesota) I really enjoy the Paula's Choice Skin Recovery SPF 30. I wish I could wear it all the time but my acne prone oilier tzone can't take it. It's a physical sunscreen and absorbs beautifully, sits very well under makeup. Otherwise I use their Hydralight SPF which is also physical sunscreen, I believe it's been rebranded under their redness skin soothing collection but is the same formula. Both are expensive but they regularly have sales. I use their body SPF 50 for my toddler and myself when we're playing outside - I don't love how it leaves my skin feeling, but it's tolerable and a good formula (with chemical sunscreen). A non-drying SPF lip balm would be great! I like the Jack Black okay as well but would be nice to have another option. My pediatrician recommended the Vanicream SPF for my 4 month old who has a really persistent case of eczema, it's quite arduous to rub in and has a pretty strong fragrance free type scent.Nicole - Beyond the Pale and Freckledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06560732839057224559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836843585087892027.post-21029004875081082972016-05-04T17:10:46.099-05:002016-05-04T17:10:46.099-05:00I like the Fresh ones (and my mom loves them, but ...I like the Fresh ones (and my mom loves them, but only if I give her the free sample ones, LOL), but I'm kind of hoping for an all-mineral one. A lot of them seem very drying, though.Miss Reneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08220111649046519267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836843585087892027.post-54108900088648424702016-05-04T17:10:14.659-05:002016-05-04T17:10:14.659-05:00I'm 95% sure I'm sensitive to something in...I'm 95% sure I'm sensitive to something in the Hydraphase (probably the fragrance), and it breaks my heart, because the texture and the moisture are just so perfect for under makeup. I'm probably going to have to sell it off and try something else. :(Miss Reneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08220111649046519267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836843585087892027.post-15983977981108667582016-05-04T17:03:56.025-05:002016-05-04T17:03:56.025-05:00For My lips, I usually go with Fresh. I take sun protection quite seriously too, because just like you I had too many sunburns in my life, and as I get older, I think the freckles on my face look less like, uhm, cute freckles, and more like sun damage/ hyperpigmentation spots. I agree that Japanese/ Korean sunscreens for the face are the way to go - I would recommend the Mentholatum Sunplay SPF50, I don't think it contains alcohol and it's actually moisturizing, not drying. Paula's Choice also has some good mineral sunscreen options. That La Roche Posay Hydraphase sounds awesome!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10222921812909264644noreply@blogger.com
